New Study: The Significance of Breastfeeding Duration on Maternal Cardiovascular Disease

This new prospective study of 300,000 Chinese women found that breastfeeding reduced the risk of maternal CVD (cardiovascular disease) later in life, particularly with greater duration of breastfeeding.  Of note is the decreased risk of maternal heart attack and stroke with greater breastfeeding duration.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The press release:
